She adds later in the episode that her accident-related chronic memory loss has also made her withdraw from her family and friends. She says that I can’t remember so many things from my childhood, and it’s incredibly annoying, infuriating, and sort of sad.
The actress adds later in the episode that she also had additional stress due to her late father, Robert Kardashian’s participation in the infamous O.J. Simpson trial in 1995 and her father’s subsequent death in 2003. Khloé added that she might have inadvertently suppressed her early memories as a coping tactic.
Khloé chose to attempt hypnosis due to her concern that her memory loss might be a symptom of a much more severe issue, such as Alzheimer’s disease, to which she responded, “If I could spell it, I’d google it.” She mentioned the trial in a therapy session, saying, “I remember my dad was on O.J.’s side, and my mom was on Nicole’s side.” She said, “I remember mom wouldn’t let me see dad any longer.”
Khloé Kardashian Suffered Memory Loss After A Car Accident As A Teenager.
Khloé sustained brain damage from a severe car accident while she was a teenager. With her older sisters Kim and Kourtney, Khloé visited a chiropractor in a 2013 episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” After Kourtney advised that she seek therapy for memory loss while there, the celebrity spoke up about a vehicle accident she was involved in when she was 17. Kourtney is heard stating, “Maybe he could do something about your memory issues,” in the audio tape.
Some people simply experience memory loss, right? Khloé inquired. The collision Khloé was involved in when she was only 17 years old caused her to lose some of her memory, much of which she cannot recall. “In 2001, I was involved in an automobile accident. The automobile lost control and collided with a pole. I’m aware that I suffered a severe concussion, Kardashian said to the doctor.
After the collision, according to Khloé, she was knocked unconscious and didn’t come to when she got to the hospital. According to the celebrity, even one of her sisters was mistaken for her mother.
The chiropractor remarked, “Your body was hit hard. Therefore, with that amount of trauma [it] can knock your memory.” He added that memory loss is not typical for someone her age, suggesting that the problem was significantly more severe than she had initially imagined.
She stated in the show, “Getting your head through a windshield is obviously not lovely for anything, and it probably increased my migraines, but I’ve been experiencing them for years and years.
Khloe Has Discussed Struggling With Migraines Throughout Her Life.
Khloe claimed that her migraines began when she was only 12 years old and in the sixth grade. As a spokesperson for the migraine drug Nurtec, she has previously spoken up about her experiences with migraines. “Since I was a teenager, the pain has kept me away from my family and friends,” she says in her testimonial.
