In July 2017, she had an art show at the Ocean City Center for the Arts, where she displayed twenty-seven abstract landscape paintings, the proceeds from which were given to art therapy programs for children with cancer.

Late last year, Hogan established an art therapy program through her Yumi C.A.R.E.S. Foundation at the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital. In May and June of 2019, the University of Maryland University College Arts Program showcased her work in an exhibition, describing it as fusing the landscapes of Maryland and Korea.

Despite becoming the First Lady of Maryland, Hogan has not stopped teaching at her alma college, the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where she earned her BFA.
