On November 28, 1995, as Jordison was at work, Mark Anthony Cadavos contacted him and offered him a place in a new project named The Pale Ones. Jordison intrigued and “lost,” visited rehearsals in Anders Colsefni’s basement and immediately wanted to be a member of this new band.
“I remember trying so hard not to smile, so I didn’t look like I wanted to join, I remained poker-faced, but I believed they reigned,” he remarked of this moment. While Jordison worked night shifts at Sinclair’s garage, band members discussed Slipknot’s early growth.
Murderdolls
Jordison met Tripp Eisen, then of Static-X, while touring Ozzfest in 2001 to support Slipknot’s studio album Iowa; the two explored starting a side project. Jordison resurrected his band The Rejects in 2002, dubbing them the Murderdolls. Jordison became the Murderdolls’ guitarist and recruited Wednesday 13 of Planet 13’s Frankenstein Drag Queens to play bass.

Wednesday eventually became a vocalist, and drummer Ben Graves and bassist Eric Griffin completed the band’s lineup.
