According to a story in the Wall Street Journal on Thursday, Vince McMahon, the former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment who retired from the firm last year, is planning a comeback.

A scandal involving hush money and sexual harassment led Vince McMahon to leave the WWE. As executive chairman of the corporation, he now intends to come back. The media rights for Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown will reportedly be renegotiated. Vince McMahon wants to lead the sales process for those rights.

According to reports, he told the board that he wouldn’t agree to any media rights sale or arrangement unless he were directly involved.

When he was being investigated for bribing several women to remain silent about suspected extramarital affairs last year, Vince McMahon abruptly announced his retirement from WWE on Twitter. The WWE revealed charges totaling $19.6 million, which compelled the business to change its financial records for 2019, 2020, and 2021.
