Children Of The Corn Release Date: Children of the Corn 2023’s release on VOD right after its theatrical run may sound like a good idea, but this has not always been the case with films based on Stephen King’s earlier works.
The plan is similar to the commercially catastrophic Peacock/theater launch of Firestarter, which saw the Zac Efron movie bomb after its simultaneous release in theatres and online.
This strategy may backfire if Firestarter’s box office success is any indication, especially considering that the 2022 film was also an R-rated ’80s horror remake with a violent child as its primary and was taken from a Stephen King story.
Children Of The Corn Release Date Could Secretly Be Good!
While there are many reasons why the strange debut of the eagerly awaited revival may disappoint fans of the Children of the Corn franchise, this may not be altogether terrible news for the show.
This would explain why Children of the Corn 2023 moved quickly to VOD if it received a theatre release to be eligible for awards.

However, the future of the Children of the Corn series doesn’t look too bright, given that the prequel has been delayed for almost three years, and its trailer hasn’t gone viral.
