Police Investigating Shooting In San Francisco’s North Beach!

A 23-year-old man was ki!!ed and four others were injured in a targeted shooting in San Francisco’s North Beach area late Sunday night.

According to SFPD Investigations Deputy Chief Raj Vaswani, the incident occurred around 11 p.m. near the busy Columbus and Broadway crossroads near the legendary Condor Club.

“Don’t have condition of the 4 being treated,” he tweeted Sunday night. “No additional information will be going out on this tonight or early morning by Investigations, we will be working on this through the night into tomorrow.”

Police officers swarmed to the shooting scene, according to video from the area. A victim was covered by a body tarp, and a discarded gun and spent rounds were evident in the street.

Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated occurrence and not random, according to police. Authorities have made no arrests concerning the fatal shooting, and no suspect description has been offered.

In a tweet sent about 8 a.m. Monday, San Francisco police adjusted the number of injured to three. They also identified the victim as a 23-year-old Solano County man who died at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been revealed.

“There were 3 other shooting victims who are expected to survive,” police tweeted. “Investigators believe this was not a random attack.”

Police then issued an update, stating that officers discovered two more shooting victims nearby, both 24-year-old males from Sacramento County. Both victims were sent to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the announcement, two other shooting victims, a 22-year-old male from Alameda County and a 20-year-old girl from Contra Costa County, were transferred separately to a nearby hospital before cops arrived. Those individuals suffered non-life-threatening injuries as well.

Chris Hall was visiting San Francisco from England and staying there. He was in his room when he heard 10 to 12 gunfire.

“I looked out my window and there was a guy being dragged to a car,” he said. “The car drove off. A guy was getting dragged into the convenience store. He’s de@d. A girl ran down here (the street) she was shot as well.”

Hall has served in the military. The gunfire had no effect on him.

“It is what it is. It happens here,” he said. “As long as it doesn’t happen to me, my family, my friends. I don’t know what the answer is. It’s not my place. It’s not my country.”
