Ms. Jacky Oh!, star of “Wild ‘N Out” According to the postmortem report, she passed away as a consequence of complications from cosmetic surgery. The coroner found that her death was an accident.
According to a report from the Miami Police Department acquired by The Times, Jacky Oh was discovered comatose in her hotel room on May 31. Smith and her aunt had gone to Miami so that Smith could get plastic surgery.
The autopsy report obtained by The Times states that the day before Jacky Oh’s death, she underwent a “gluteal augmentation procedure” consisting of liposuction to transfer fat to her buttocks. According to the report, the operation went off without a hitch.
A course of Ciprofloxacin antibiotic, Oxycodone pain medicine, and Ondansetron anti-nausea medication were given to Jacky Oh (born Jacklyn Smith) after her operation. According to the report, massage did little to alleviate the headache that Jacky Oh experienced following the treatment. A nurse suggested she try Ibuprofen instead of Ondansetron, and she listened.
According to the complaint, Jacky Oh complained to her aunt that her head was “burning.” Her aunt called 911 when Jacky Oh had trouble communicating, but she passed out before help arrived. Oh had swelling in her brain and bleeding under the skin surrounding her midsection, according to the postmortem results.
After being taken there, she was pronounced dead just before midnight at HCA Florida Mercy Hospital. The report states that Jacky Oh’s father stated that his daughter had no previous medical, surgical, or mental health history. Her history of breast augmentation was documented in medical records.
Since 2015, Jacky Oh and DC Young Fly have been a couple. The two became involved while working on the set of the sketch comedy show “Wild ‘N Out.” Smith had been a “Wild ‘N Out girl” for two seasons, while DC Young Fly was only getting his start on the hip-hop variety show at the time. They have three kids together.
Jacky Oh talked to DJ Smallz Eyes in 2017 about her pregnancy, her feelings toward motherhood, and the urge to “snap back” after giving birth. “I looked in the mirror and said, ‘Damn I need to lose some damn weight, because my stomach lookin’ crazy,’ but ya know it happens, I had a baby,” she said.
Thousands of flowers, a horse-drawn carriage, and the releasing of doves into the sky by DC Young Fly marked Smith’s funeral service in June at Atlanta’s Jackson Funeral Baptist Church.
DC Young Fly (real name: John Whitfield) gave an emotional statement in which he praised his wife and the mother of his three children, Nova (6), Nala (2), and Prince’Nehemiah (10 months), and emphasized the value of faith in adversity.
“Jack, you know I love you girl. You know!” he began the eulogy. “But we’re here, baby. Like you said, this feels like a dream, feels like a fairy tale … but this ain’t no fairy tale. And if Joseph didn’t complain, I won’t either.”
