According to Babs’s obituary, she was born in 1946 and worked as a teacher for her whole professional life. She was the leader of the college’s synchronized swimming team, the Aquabelles, and earned a bachelor’s degree in English.
In 2015, Whitney and Hunter’s mother rose to popularity on reality television alongside her husband, Glenn, after appearing on Whitney’s show My Big Fat Fabulous Life on the TLC network.
Her obituary states that “her star has continued to shine over the previous eight years as she has influenced millions of viewers all around the world and earned the moniker of ‘America’s Mom.'”
