Tesla Plunges Off Cliff: It’s not the first time we’ve witnessed a Tesla EV involved in a tragic accident, only to learn that although the vehicle was destroyed, the occupants managed to survive. As you can see, the Tesla model fell 250 feet off a cliff, becoming nearly unrecognizable, but nobody was hurt.

Four people were inside when the Tesla went off the tall cliff at Devil’s Slide, California. Inside were two grownups and two juveniles. According to first responders, it was a marvel that anyone survived such a disaster. The adults were flown to the hospital because their injuries were more serious. The youngsters aged four and nine only sustained “mild to moderate” wounds.

The crash reportedly occurred on Monday, January 2, 2023, at 10:50 AM local time. The Tesla seemed to have veered off the pavement south of the Tom Lantos Tunnel on Highway 1. According to the current authorities, the event is not attributed to Tesla’s automated driving capabilities. Instead, it seems like the Tesla driver was moving too swiftly to maintain reasonable vehicle control.

After observing the state of the car, the authorities predicted the worst, but when they discovered that there were survivors, they immediately launched a rescue operation. The poor weather made it extremely difficult to access the automobiles and remove the injured passengers. Numerous helicopters and careful planning were required to protect the rescuers from damage. The adults were brought to a trauma facility, where they are now getting better.

This kind of catastrophe occurs much too frequently in the area, a Battalion Chief named Brian Pottenger told the media. Added, “The fact that they lived was nothing short of a miracle.

According to Teslarati, who cited press accounts of the incident, a witness who contacted 911 saw the Tesla “moving quickly” toward an exit, which, in her opinion, shouldn’t have ever been approached in that manner. She claimed that as the vehicle turned to the right, she observed it in her rearview mirror “straight down and over the ledge.
