Landon Dickerson Injury: Eagles Guard Leaves NFC Championship Game Early

With the Philadelphia Eagles leading the San Francisco 49ers 28-7 late in the NFC Championship game, left guard Landon Dickerson collapsed and struggled to his feet while holding his right arm. On his approach to the sidelines after leaving the field, he appeared to be uncomfortable.

As he did last week against the Giants, Andre Dillard entered the field in Landon Dickerson’s stead. Dickerson had a scare with an injury last week and limped off the field before returning on the next drive. Dillard only participated in 37 offensive plays during the regular season, but if Landon Dickerson is sidelined for the remainder of the contest, he should be more than adequate.

Landon Dickerson has undoubtedly had a fantastic second NFL season, as evidenced by his selection to the Pro Bowl roster. On the left side of the line, he and Jordan Mailata have gotten along reasonably well, and he has done a fantastic job of protecting Jalen Hurts throughout the playoffs.
